Expectations of
Members of The Board of Directors

- Prepare for,
attend and actively participate in meetings of the Board of
Directors, including planning sessions and retreats.
- Review all
correspondence received pertaining to the Foundation and respond
promptly when necessary.
- Identify
and cultivate major donor prospects. Call, or personally meet
with ten monthly. Ask what part Delta Chi played in their life's
success. Ask for permission to quote them in the Foundation's
newsletter and get a head shot picture if possible.
- Personally
solicit major donor prospects with a goal of raising a minimum
of $5,000 annually.
- Assess own
performance as a Director regularly.
- Represent
the Foundation at various Fraternity and Foundation events.
- Identify
prospective candidates for membership on the Foundation's Board
of Directors.
- Be
thoroughly
familiar with the Foundation's By-Laws and operation guidelines.
